Javier was initially hesitant to join our team, as he had never worked remotely before and wasn't sure how he would adapt to the new environment. We sat down with Javier to ask him about his experience with COBRA and how it has impacted his career. Here's what he had to say:

COBRA Recruiter: Hi Javier, thanks for taking the time to chat with us today. Can you tell us a bit about your background as a Java developer and how you ended up joining the COBRA team?

Javier: Sure! I've been working as a Java developer for about seven years now officialy. I had done some freelancing, then I worked in two software companies in Honduras. I learned a lot there but I was always looking for a more stable and supportive environment. Then I was contacted by a COBRA recruiter. At first, I was a little nervous about working remotely and for a company in the US, but the recruiters at COBRA were so supportive and helped me through the onboarding process. I'm so glad I took the leap and joined the team.

COBRA Recruiter: What have been some of the highlights of your experience with COBRA so far?

Javier: There have been so many! One of the biggest benefits of working with COBRA has been the flexibility it offers. I have a lot of hobbies that I enjoy and I have a dog, so being able to work remotely has allowed me to pursue those while still having a steady income. I've also had the opportunity to work with clients from the US and teams and projects that have a significant impact in the world, which has been a really exciting and enriching experience.

COBRA Recruiter: That's great to hear! Is there anything you'd like to share about your experience working with the COBRA team or any funny anecdotes you'd like to share?

Javier: Well, one funny thing that comes to mind is that I have a pet parrot who loves to join me during conference calls. He always manages to make an appearance and steal the show! But seriously, I've really enjoyed getting to know my fellow COBRA team members. We may be working remotely, but we've built a strong sense of community and support for each other.
